Desolation

This landscape is part of the area that is planned to be drowned under water in a large dam. The government plans to build more hydroelectric power-stations in the highlands of Iceland. It is claimed that because highlands have have little or no vegetation it has less commercial value and therefore it is acceptable to drown it.
